With only one pass
being completed, it
was able to hit
straight up and
smash its previous
best of 13.97 @ 103
mph to run a time of
13.11 @ 107 mph -
with nothing more
than an Xtreme
Custom Tune. This
also makes it the
quickest N/A manual
GT in the country,
putting out a total
288 RWkW's.
After having the car
tuned on the dyno
with a strap on, it
was only able to
gain a max of 8
RWkW's. With the
edit it was blown
away and netted an
increase of 23
RWkW's.

This XR8 has been
the perfect test for
Xtreme Ford Tuning
to prove how
versatile the tuning
can be.
Over the time the
owner has had the
car quite a few
different power
enhancers have been
tested... but now
with an Xtreme Ford
tune he has the
fastest XR8 over the
quarter, and has
slotted into second
place as the
quickest with only
one meeting under
the cars belt.

an outstanding 13.29

Xtreme's XR6T has
just run a very
credible 12.91 @
112MPH on its first
outing with a 2.3
60ft.
The car has only
been fitted with a
Typhoon CAI,
injectors, hiflow
cat and Turbosmart
blow-off valve so
far and makes a
modest 260 RWkW's.
Times will only get
faster as the car is
eventually set up
with some decent
tyres for its next
outing at the
season's open. |
