Then...
Xtreme decided to invest in an
F6 Typhoon from Titan Ford as
their new flagship FPV. On its
first run the car ran a nice 217
RWkW's stock with just 150 km on
it. It was then treated to a BMC
filter, a Turbosmart blow-off
valve,
larger injectors and a hiflow
cat. With this the car made a
very respectable 305 RWkW and
660 NM at the tyres.
Now it was time to get serious.
A new cat setup was flow tested
and placed back on the vehicle.
The car was then run back on the
dyno where it made more boost
and torque down low with a peak
kW figure of 306 RWkW and 720 NM
at the tyres.
Next in line to be added was a
new Xtreme edit... with it the
car jumped to 340 RWkW and an
amazing 800 NM at the tyres.
There were a couple of concerns
with the clutch rating so the
final torque figure was reduced
to 760 NM at the tyres. All of
this power was managed while
developing one of the kits
before release.
With the assistance of a Nizpro
Intercooler and inlet manifold
the Xtreme F6 took out the AME 6
Cyl Ford class dyno shoot out at
the Burswood Dome with 497 RWHP
(371 RWkW) while still retaining
the stock exhaust.
Now...
The Xtreme F6 now has a full
custom exhaust made and fitted
and is making 552.7 RWHP (412.1
RWkW's) with over 860 NM torque
at the tyres while still using
BP Ultimate fuel. It also uses Xtreme's engine package.
The latest record stands at 12.3
@ 124 MPH with a 2.26 60 ft. Due
to a mishap at the track it is
soon to be fitted with new billet
axles and some real slicks to
chase down those 11 second
times.
The car is currently running these
specs and has held up well to
durability testing. Keep looking
